Croatia currency and payment tips
The currency of the Republic of Croatia is called the Kuna (kn). In circulation are banknotes in Kuna and coins in Kuna and Lipa (lp) - one hundredth of a Kuna. The banknotes are issued in the following denominations: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 Kuna, while the denomination structure of the coins is 1, 2 and 5 Kuna and 1, 2, 20, 20 and 50 Lipa (100 Lipa = 1 Kuna). Payments can be made by credit card (Diners, Visa, American Express, Eurocard and MasterCard), as well as euro checks. Cash can be withdrawn from ATMs.
